SniffTest is built on a simple principle: the only thing we need to know is the URL you want checked. Nothing else.
When you paste a URL and hit Check it, your browser sends that URL to our server. We run it through a set of checks — domain age, security databases, brand patterns, and more — then send the result straight back to you.
Recent checks shown on the homepage live in your browser's memory only. They disappear the moment you close or refresh the tab. We never see them.
Almost nothing. Here is the complete list:
That's it. We collect no name, no location, no device fingerprint, and no browsing history. Shared permalinks store only the checked URL and verdict snapshot data.
If you sign up for updates, we store your email address to tell you when there is something new about SniffTest beyond the free paste-and-check tool — for example, features that reduce manual steps. We use that list for product news only, not marketing blasts or newsletters.
To have your email removed, just drop us a line and we'll delete it promptly.
To run our checks, we query a small number of external security services on your behalf. These services receive only the domain or URL being checked — no information about you.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We use them solely to evaluate the URL you submitted, and we do not share any personal data with them.
Questions about this policy, or want your updates signup removed? Reach us at hello@doasnifftest.com. We'll respond within a few days.
Free, instant, and private by default. Share only if you want a permanent link.
